About Us

Created in 2019 by two media and digital veterans, Sekoia started from ”a need” when we were client-side, hiring freelancers and agencies.

Sekoia is a digital growth agency based in Montreal, Canada. We help organizations remain visible and credible as search shifts from links to AI-generated answers.

For a long time, digital visibility meant ranking pages and driving clicks. That model is changing. People now rely on AI systems to explain, compare, and recommend. These systems don’t simply list websites. They interpret information and decide which sources to trust. Brands that are not clearly understood by AI often disappear from the conversation, even when their traditional search performance looks strong.

Sekoia focuses on Generative Engine Optimization, or GEO. This work is about making sure a brand is correctly interpreted, accurately represented, and legitimately cited by AI systems such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google Gemini. It goes beyond classic SEO by combining semantic structure, content clarity, structured data, authority signals, and ongoing testing across AI engines.

We take a precise and measured approach to digital growth. Instead of relying on assumptions, we actively test how brands appear inside AI-generated answers and track real generative visibility. This allows us to understand what works, what doesn’t, and why.

We work with organizations that depend on trust, expertise, and clarity. Our role is not to chase short-term tactics, but to build digital foundations that remain stable as search technologies continue to evolve.

Sekoia helps organizations stay present in a world where answers increasingly matter more than clicks.

Our inspiration

The Sequoia is the conifer that produces the smallest seed and grows to be the largest tree on the planet. This proves that even if we start from almost nothing, we can grow without limits. In addition to being magnificent, it’s resistant to fire, microbes and does not rot.
Just like Sequoia, we are made to last.
